What else can we say, this was an amazing year!
Planning and moving. Trip planning was minimal. We were busy combining flats and cramming everything we own into the guest room and cellar.
Firsts. They took one look at Kai-Uwe and thought his first trans-atlantic flight should be in business class. The Sweetest Cat in the World now has a residence in the USA.
Building. Andy drew up plans and we constructed the crates on the weekends.
Anticipation. We’re really doing this!
Best wishes. My sister made me a special birthday card and I took a picture of it in the hotel and brought the picture with me. The card is safe and sound in the cellar.
Excitement. Picking up the bikes at the airport in Quito, Ecuador.
Magic. We nearly missed the road off to this little waterfall. We had no idea it was there, on no map, but it was special, hidden and there were butterflies all around. Glad we went there.
Silver linings. We haven’t had many rainy days, but almost all of them have been amazing despite the clouds.
Clarity.
Relaxation. Just enjoying the day.
Action.
New colors.
Hospitality.
Inspiration. People are amazing and I’ve never seen more diverse entrepreneurship than here.
Different perspectives.
Fun.
Keeping in touch. Well, we probably did better than in some previous years. And we started a blog.
Open roads. This time sandy, mesmerizing.
Togetherness. Pleasure in every day, challenge, decision and always happy we’re traveling with the right person.
Adventure.
Beautiful mornings. We knew it would be worth schlepping the tent with us. Even if it were just for this morning.
Encouragement. Family, friends and everyone we meet. “Suerte!”
Excitement.
New dimensions.
Getting back up. We’ve both fallen a few times. Dusting off and moving on is all part of traveling and going to remote places with the bikes.
Breathtaking views.
Contrast. Keeps things interesting.
Rainbows.
Trying new things. It was worth the effort and most importantly, it was fun!
Peace.
Friendly new faces. We’ve met so many wonderfully friendly people. This picture is a good summary of the bright warmth we’ve experienced.
Dreams coming true.
Peaks, pampas, and panniers.
Gratitude.
We wish you a Happy New Year and hope 2015 is all you want it to be!
Thank you for joining and supporting us on this journey!

Fantastic seeing this year in review. I look forward to new posts, and catching up on ones I’ve missed reading. Happy New Year, Christy & Andy! And if you ever decide to visit Niagara Falls, I’m less than an hour away from there.
